The Department of Veterans Affairs has established a crisis line for veterans, families, and friends.  Veterans that may need help may show some behaviors such as wanting to harm themselves, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and hopelessness.  They could have a deep sadness or loss of interest, trouble sleeping and eating, or withdrawn from family and friends.  Maybe they display violent behavior like punching the wall or have dramatic mood changes.  And if they talk of suicide or that their life is not worthy or there is no solution to their problems, give the Veterans Crisis Line a call.  The number is 1-800-275-8255, or text 838255.  Caring professionals are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  There is also support for deaf and hard of hearing people in need.
