Rainy Day Sweet Potatoes

Today was a kind of rainy day so I thought it was the perfect day to put out the sweet potato vines that have been sprouting for 3 months in the greenhouse. We are planting Beauregard this year since it seemed to do so well last year despite Hurricane Matthew. I had some help building the mounding row this past weekend from a Marine Corp volunteer from MCAS Cherry Point. It was really easy planting them in the mixture of sand and compost.
